It might as well be spring if you put this repurposed Pier One Import placemat clock on your wall! This is one of the easiest makeovers I have done with my pile of placemats.
Step One: The diameter of the placemat is too large for the wall clock so carefully cut the outside edge of layer #4 so only three layers of petals are left.
That makes the final diameter approx. 12″
This photo shows how much of the back material you need to cut: only about .5″.
Step Two: cut a white foam board 12″ in diameter and glue it to the back.
Step Three: from the front center, punch a hole with an awl and use a pencil to make the hole big enough for clock works.
Step Four: Print out the clock face provided or make your own clock face.
Step Five: Using glue stick attach your clock face to a heavy piece of mat board or sheet metal and cut out.
Step Six: Punch a hole in the clock face big enough so the clock movement will fit. ‘
Step Seven: Assemble the clock.
I had a little shrink film dragonfly that I added to the clock face for a bit of whimsy.
This is wonderful! You are so creative! A very happy looking clock!
