Christmas Chandelier with a Twist
Make an unexpected DIY Christmas chandelier when you create a surprisingly stunning and super easy to make floating hoop chandelier.
So today I’m going to share how you can add something chic to your traditional Christmas decor. Today’s post is a step-by-step guide on how to make a hanging Christmas decoration, one of those “shiny” and beautiful ones you see in home decor magazines cheap and fast.
So let’s get ready to create some pure ambience for your home.
Scandinavian Christmas Chandelier Tutorial
Supplies
3 Metal wire rings, diameter 30 cm
3 Candles
3 Clip candle holders
Brass floral wire
Pliers
Olive greens
Step 1.
Wrap the floral wire around two of the wire rings and make sure to wrap the cord securely.
Step 2.
Repeat step 1 to combine the last the ring so that all three hoops are joined like pictured.
Step 3.
Place the olive greens one by one on the wire ring and secure with floral wire. Continue adding greens to the lower half of the wire ring until you’re happy with the design.
Step 4.
Place a clip candle holder to the bottom center of each wire ring. Make sure to clip over both the olive branches and the wire ring, this will keep it stable and in place.
Repeat step 3 and 4 until all three rings is covered with olive greens.
Step 5.
Place a candle in each candle clip holder
Step 6.
Cut a piece of floral wire and tie each end to the top side of the ring. Attach one more string of wire and twist the wire ends and finish it off with a loop. Now ready to hang.
Step 6.
Add a handful of your favourite Christmas ornaments and attach them using small pieces of floral wire
As you can see I’ve used olive greens but why not mix and match different kinds of evergreens to create more elaborate chandeliers.
Greenery is so on trend and has the perfect hue for an easy but enchanting Christmas decorations.
I think this would look great in any corner and it’ll be a perfect creation to make as a gift-worthy idea for your friends and family. If you’re having a dinner party and want to make a decor element that’ll make your guests stop and stare, go for fresh cut flowers!
If you still have some greenery and craft supplies and still feel like crafting, make some more jointed wire rings and spread them in the house. Without the hanging ornaments, you can add some charm to your living room by placing them on the table as a lovely candle centerpiece.
I hope you’ve been inspired to maybe create one this 1st Sunday of Advent and bring a magic touch of Scandinavian tradition into your home this winter.
Thank you so much for reading and wishing you the most lovely Sunday!
